Installtion/Upgrade Guide for Corporate Users.

In order to establish a secure remote access connection to corporate resources; all users require the following packages installed on their workstations (version specified):

  1. Citrix Endpoint Analysis Plug-in v9.1.101.7 (Setup Executable)
  2. Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in v9.1.101.7 (Setup Executable)

The table below outlines the process of downloading and installing the required software on a user's computer running Windows XP or Windows 7 using Internet Explorer 7 or later.

Step 1 Install Citrix Endpoint Analysis Plug-in

First step in installing the required client software is to login to the SECURE access point.

  1. On the login page, enter your EduMail Pin, EduMail Password and RSA SecurID Passcode and click Log On.

  2. Upon successful login, when prompted to downlod Citrix Endpoint Analysis plug-in as shown below, please click on Download button.

    This plug-in is responsible for conducting security checks such as to confirm presence of Symantec Antivirus on the user's computer.

  3. Next, click Run when your browser displays Security Warning for File Download.

  4. Click Run again when your browser displays Security Warning for running the setup program.

  5. On Citrix Endpoint Analysis Setup screen, click Install.

  6. Upon successful installation, click Finish.

Step 2 Download Access Gateway Plug-in
  1. Once the Citrix Endpoint Analysis plug-in is installed, the browser will refresh and display the access choices page.

  2. Select the Full Network Access from the available options.

Next, if you do not have the required Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in installed, the browser will refresh and the option to download and install the Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in will be available.

If you do not have previous version of Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in installed, you will be prompted to download and install the Plug-in.

If you have previous version of Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in, the Plug-in will be automatically downloaded and you will be prompted to upgrade to the new Plug-in.

Step 2a Manually Download Access Gateway Plug-in
  1. Click Download to download the nsvpnc_setup.exe file when prompted.

  2. Next, click Run when your browser displays Security Warning for File Download.

  3. Click Run again when your browser displays Security Warning for running the setup program.

  4. Goto Step 3. Install Access Gateway Plug-in.
Step 2b Automatically Download Access Gateway Plug-in
  1. The system displays the upgrade message.

  2. (On Windows 7 only)
    Next, if your system displays Interactive Service Detection as shown, click on View the message to show the Access Gateway Plug-in installation screen.

  3. Goto Step 3. Install Access Gateway Plug-in.
Step 3 Install Access Gateway Plug-in

Once the plug-in is downloaded, Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in Setup will run.

  1. On Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in Setup screen, click Install.

  2. If File in Use dialog box is displayed, select "Close the applications and attempt to restart them" and click OK.

  3. Upon successful installation, click Finish.

  4. Once the Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in is installed, the secure remote access connection is established and access to the central network is granted.

  5. The required software to establish a secure remote access connection to corporate resources has been installed.

    Exit and logoff the secure remote access connection by right clicking the Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in systray icon and selecting the Exit option.

Step 4 Using SRAS

After successful installation of the required software, login to SECURE access point as usual to establish a secure remote access connection to corporate resources.
